Goa – The Tourist Paradise
Goa is one of the popular tourist spot of India. For popularity of Goa; it’s called tourist paradise. It not only offers beautiful, gorgeous, irresistible sea and beaches but also it has a unique history, rich culture and prettiest natural scenery.
Panaji is the capital of Goa. It is border with the western state of Maharashtra in the north and the southern state of Karnataka from the east and the south. The Arabian Sea makes for the west coast of the sea.
Konkani and Marathi are the state languages. Hindi is also well understood in here. But English is commonly use all over here.
Goa is famous for its miles and miles of sunny beaches sun-baked sands, heady feni, and palm fronds waving in a cool sea breeze. A sunny land dotted with coconut trees and rice fields; a verdant green countryside, lush green forests, abundant wildlife and old portuguese churches are attraction of beaches.

Though Goa is famous for its beaches, it also famous for Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary, Molem National Park, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Dudhsagar Waterfalls. You may also visit some religious tourist spots for example Church of Our Lady of Rosary, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, The Rachol Seminary, Noroa River, Brahma Camandolu, Sidhanath Mountain, Arvalem Waterfall.
Winter (between late October and early April) is the best time to visit Goa but you may go any time. The winter weather is sunny, balmy, suitable and cool at night. Summers are very warm and humid. On the other hand, heavy rainfall is occurred from June to August.
The carnival period, February through to early March is a peak time; numerous tourists come here to join parades, pageants and merrymaking late into the night.
Goa’s sea and rivers are enriched by sea food with prawns, mackerels, sardines, crabs and lobsters. You may taste it from the beaches still unbelievably cheap and absolutely fresh. Goa’s foods are simple but tasty with chili hot, spicy, and pungent.
Goa has well communication system. The major cities of India are well connected with it.
You can choose your journey by air, by rail, by road and a limited catamaran service. Bus and overnight coaches are available here. You can hire a vehicle for a day. There is no metered taxi but riding pillion on motorcycle taxis is very popular and it would be economical for you.
There are various hotels, tourist bungalows, resort, and guest house for the different person as their demand. Paying guest accommodation with local families is also available here. For student and fixed income people there are dormitory style accommodations and state-run GTDC tourist hotels. All round year room facilities are available but during the peak season you have to book room in advance.

The Taj mahal is not an edifice but a symbol of love was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaj between 1631 and 1654 by a workforce of 22,000 workers. It looks very beautiful at moon-lit night with the river Yamuna flows behind it.
