Make Honeymoon in Saddam’s Bed Room
Iraqi Tourism Authority is going to convert a palace into a modern luxury hotel. The palace was built and used by ex-president Saddam Hussein. It is located at Al Hilla which is 60 miles (approximately) south of Baghdad. The palace was handled by American troops till 2005.
The outer buildings of this palace were previously used by the special guards of Iraqi president. The guard buildings were already converted to 32 hotel suites. Every suit gets wide screen televisions with king beds. Former president bedroom will become as a honeymoon suite. Any couples wishing to spend here the first wedding night in the dictator’s bed. However, it will be required to fork out around $200 for the privilege.
The actual palace would be turned into Roman columns and also super-large bathrooms. At present, the palace is open to the general people. Locals and visitors have to pay a nominal entrance fee in order to inspect the buildings.
