The country of contrasts
Russia is a country of contrasts: there is no other country in the world with such a history, such a heritage, people, landscape and traditions. If you come to this country – you should be aware of the fact that everything you might have already head from the radio or TV programs is not true. Or at least not a complete truth. You see, in order to understand the world outlook of Russians you are to live in this country and you will finally find out that people are really heartful and kind, they are neither drunkards nor lazy. The majority of Russians are strong enough to live through all the difficulties where any European or US citizen would definitely pass out. The thing is that you should always be selective to what you are being told from the screen. Sometimes even magazines about Russians write provocative information in order to create a negative effect.
Russia is really a great country with its capital city – Moscow. Being grounded more than 850 years ago it is a city with old buildings and monuments, with modern business centers and wide squares, long avenues and gigantic museums. But the Kremlin is the most picturesque place in the center of the city. The Red Square is another location that is a must to be visited in any guide-books.
